Hitachi Electronic Devices (USA), Inc. firmly believes in the importance of being a good corporate citizen and to have a positive influence on the communities in which its employees work and live. One way HEDUS accomplishes this is through our Community Action Committee (CAC).
Community Action Committee (CAC)
Our Community Action Committee (CAC) is composed of a group of employees from all levels of HEDUS’s organization. These employees facilitate community involvement by identifying critical needs in our local community and then making recommendations designed to promote employee awareness and encourage active involvement that makes a difference. Whether it is by providing cash donations to support a non-profit organization, participating in fundraisers, volunteering their services, or providing in-kind donations such as computers equipment or other items; our employees work to improve the quality of life in our community . HEDUS’s CAC is further supported by the Hitachi Foundation, which is a non-profit philanthropic organization. In particular, the Hitachi Foundation’s “Community Action Partnership “ program provides matching funds to our CAC and other Hitachi Companies’ CACs, thus allowing an even greater impact to our respective communities. CAC Activities
Some of CAC activities have included: United Way Fundraisers, participation in March of Dimes’ Walk America; Employees buying school supplies for underprivileged children, helping Meals on Wheels to provide food to elderly, employees helping to tutor kids through Jr. Achievement programs, and participating in Hitachi’s North American Annual food drive.
